The Irish IPTV FAQ: clear answers about plans and payment, ordering, channels, devices, watching abroad, rights and privacy, and support.

Last updated

This page collects the questions people ask us most often before and after they order Irish IPTV. They are grouped by topic, so use the buttons above to jump straight to plans and payment, devices, watching abroad or support.

Prices in the answers come from the same source as the pricing table, so they always match: plans run from £15 for 1 month to £69 for 12 months, which works out at £5.75/month. For the full comparison, see our Irish IPTV prices, and for step-by-step help with your device, our guide on how to set up IPTV.

Getting started

What does IPTV stand for?

Internet Protocol Television: TV channels and on-demand content delivered over an internet connection, instead of through an aerial, a satellite dish or a cable network.

How is IPTV different from satellite or cable TV?

There is no dish, no cable box and no installer visit. You need an internet connection and a device with a player app. In return, the picture depends on your broadband, so a stable connection matters.

Do I need a particular broadband provider?

No. Irish IPTV works with any broadband that is fast and stable enough, whether fibre, cable, DSL or a good mobile or fixed wireless connection.

Does it work in rural Ireland?

Anywhere with a stable connection of around 10 Mbps or more. Rural fibre now reaches many areas; on slower lines, one stream at a time works best.

Plans and payment

Do all plans include the same channels?

Yes. All 4 plans include every channel and every feature. Only the length and the price per month differ.

Why are the prices in pounds?

We keep one price list for all customers, in pounds. For customers in Ireland we show an approximate euro amount under each price, at £1 = €1.17; your bank converts the payment at its own rate.

Does my plan renew automatically?

No. One-Time Payment (No Contracts). When the period ends, your access stops unless you order again.

Can I move to a longer plan later?

Yes. When your current plan is coming to an end, message us and choose the longer plan. The longer the plan, the lower the price per month.

How do I pay?

Once you have chosen your plan on WhatsApp, we send you the payment details in the chat. Ask there if you have a question about paying.

Ordering and activation

What happens after I send the WhatsApp message?

We confirm your plan and send the payment details. After payment we send your login details and a short guide for your device.

Can I order for a family member?

Yes. Order as usual and say in the chat who the plan is for. You can pass the login details on to them, wherever they live.

Can I change the pre-filled message?

Yes. The text is only a starting point. Add your device or a question before you press send.

Channels and content

Is Irish sport included?

Yes. The Irish sports channels are part of every plan, along with UK and international sport.

Is pay-per-view extra?

No. Major Sports & PPV Included. There is no extra charge per event.

Are films and series included?

Yes. 93,000+ films and series are on demand in every plan, so you can start them whenever you like.

Can I see the full channel list before I buy?

Ask us on WhatsApp about the channels you care about and we will confirm them before you pay.

Devices and setup

Do I need to buy a new box?

Usually not. A smart TV with an app store, a TV box, a streaming stick, a phone, a tablet or a computer is enough.

Which player app should I use?

Any IPTV player that accepts a login or a playlist link. Our setup guide explains the options for each device type, and we can suggest one when we send your login.

Is a wired connection better than Wi-Fi?

Yes, if you can. A network cable from the router to the TV or box gives the steadiest picture. If you use Wi-Fi, keep the router close or use a mesh system.

Watching abroad

Do I need a separate VPN?

No. Built-in VPN Protection is part of every plan, so there is no extra app to install or pay for.

What time will Irish matches start where I live?

Live channels follow Irish time. The UK has the same time as Ireland; the US East Coast is 5 hours behind and Sydney 9 to 11 hours ahead. The full list is in our guide to Irish TV abroad.

Rights and privacy

Is IPTV legal in Ireland?

IPTV is simply a way of delivering TV over the internet, and the technology is legal and widely used. Whether a particular service is lawful depends on whether it holds the rights to what it distributes. Our article on IPTV and the law in Ireland explains the law and recent Irish court cases. It is general information, not legal advice.

What personal data do you keep?

Your WhatsApp number, our chat and the details needed for your order and payment. This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The details are in our privacy policy.

Support

When is support available?

Always. 24/7 Customer Support on WhatsApp at +44 7576 966392, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

What should I do if the picture freezes?

Restart the app and the router, and try a cable instead of Wi-Fi. If it continues, message us with your device and the channel. Our buffering guide has the full checklist.
